You can also set the hired hand life, ghost speed, time stunned after spawning, revive time, time stunned after reviving, hired hand speed and an option for automatically killing all other hired hands on level start.

Hired hand can transform into a slow angry ghost when it's corpse is destroyed.

Hired hand can become a ghost when is stuck, and become a hired hand again when is close (this ghost doesn't kill you).

Hired hand can revive on death (also when crushed).

If you're using Overlunky, just move the a script into Scripts folder Additional features:

If you just want to play it, and don't have any idea of those, I recommend Modlunky 2 because is more user friendly, and supports other mod types like level gen or asset mods, also it allows you to easily download and launch overlunky. I think having the drill randomly hit something that would make your run harder could be interesting, but only if that happened, maybe once every 15-20 times (especially given that the drill is somewhat early on, as random bs is better positioned towards the start of a run rather than the end of one.).You need to have a recent version of Playlunky (included in Modlunky 2) or a recent version of Overlunky. Just finished up the VIP run and I'm looking forward to working on getting the true ending next :DĮdit: I should clarify as well that most of my frustration with the drill comes from the frequency with which dumb stuff happens, I remember that out of the first four times I activated the drill I hit a shop twice. Overall though I am having a really good time with this game and I'm astonished as to how well a lot of the original charm seems to have carried over from the first game.

These complaints also apply to kali alters and Tun's shop too albeit it a lesser degree. Slightly increased Sunken Citys trap/enemies.

Getting screwed because some dumbass shopkeeper decided to set up shop underneath a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ power drill is significantly less enjoyable. UPDATE 1.1 (Sep 2nd 2023): -Fire frogs now spawn on Sunken City levels (rule was deleted for some reason). I don't mind getting owned by the game because I wasn't able to think far enough ahead to avoid a rube goldberg of death, in fact most of the time those types of deaths are pretty funny. If there are lava lakes in the way you have to wait for those to drain so you don't die and then somehow make it to the clover in vlads castle before 3 minutes and the ghost spawns.

To consistently and safely activate the drill in volcana you would have to go to the bottom of the level every time to make sure no shops were in the way then back up (costing ropes in the process) and then activate the drill. If a shop happens to have spawned beneath the drill the only way around would be to bomb through the floor (I think this costs around 6 bombs depending on powder box spawns). Spelunky is back and as challenging as ever. I think having the moles be easier to spot when their digging around in the walls would go a long way to helping them be less frustrating, also on the subject of waiting for lava, the drill can also hit shops and force you to have to deal with angered shopkeepers. Spelunky 2 developer Mossmouth agrees that the Dwelling stage was too difficult, so spawn rates have been nerfed in a recent update.
